The owners of this home approached Insight Landscapes with the vision of transforming their backyard into an outdoor entertaining area that was both functional and eye-catching, to be enjoyed by the whole family. The resulting design is the perfect place for the homeowners and their teenage children to entertain and enjoy.

The outdoor area features an all-weather cabana, made from merbau hardwood timber, which is the perfect place for relaxing by the pool, as well as alfresco dining. Insight Landscapes included lighting in the cabana, so that the area could be used for entertaining day and night, perfect for barbecues on balmy summer evenings.

Classic travertine paving surrounds the pool, which was constructed by Local Pools & Spas. This is complemented by rustic granite stackstone, used in both the cabana and the outdoor bathroom.

The outdoor bathroom is fully equipped with a toilet and outdoor shower, so there is no need to drip water through the home on the way to the bathroom. There is also plenty of storage space for pool toys, towels and equipment. Though the block was an unusual shape, it didn’t stop Insight Landscapes from making the most of the space
